Core Cold Pressed Juices Review

Healthy eating Reviews

Cold pressed juices provide a healthy and easy way to boost our intake of fruit and veg. FYI: Cold-pressed juice is made by pressing fruit and vegetables. Pressing the fruit or vegetables releases the juice. Although I prefer fruit juices they are often very high in sugar so l have been trying to incorporate veg based juices which are lower in sugar, with interesting results. Core has some great juices that l was itching to try out. Well l scratched my itch with two bottles amptly called for circulation and for strength.

For Circulation is red due to the beetroot, other ingredients include carrot, apple, ginger and lemon. The ingredients in this juice are a classic combination. Beetroot is high in nitrates which help lower your blood pressure. Ginger gives the juice a kick to warm you up. Carrots are a great source of beta carotene which helps to keep your eyes healthy while giving your skin a healthy glow. The apple of course has antioxidants which help with the cardiovascular system and preventing the onset of certain diseases as well as being low in calories, not containing an sodium, fat or cholesterol.

Tip: increase your energy levels by drinking this before a gym session. The nitrate content in the beetroot will help you workout for longer, stopping muscle fatigue from setting in as quickly as it otherwise would.

For Strength boasts a wide array of green veggies, namely broccoli, cucumber, lettuce, celery, lemon and of course apples to sweeten it up a little. Broccoli is high in iron needed to produce red blood cells as well as folate a B-9 vitamin which is necessary for DNA formation, while keeping your eyes, skin, hair and liver healthy; providing support to your immune system; and improving your body’s ability to withstand stress. Cucumber has vitamin K, vitamin C, magnesium, phosphorus, riboflavin, B-6, folate, pantothenic acid, iron, silica, calcium and zinc. Lettuce is high in potassium, vitamin A, vitamin B1 and phosphorus. These ingredients cover your bases.

What l loved….

We have all heard about the five fruit and veg a day rule while is well and good if you are actively tracking your food intake. But life gets hectic sometimes and we fall short. These juice combinations are great in that they include 5 or more fruit and veg helping you hit your daily quota with very little effort.

They take the guess work out of juicing. I love that unlike the other juices the juices combine veggies for a purpose. You know what you are getting when you buy the one for Hydration or the one for Strength instead of having to google search for veg combinations that work well together.

These cold-pressed juices are wholly made from veg and fruit and are free from preservatives and added sugar. Hence the need to buy little and often because the nutrients oxidise very quickly. The juices also come with a lot of veg as each juice has about four vegetable ingredients and one fruit cutting the sugar content drastically. Giving us the benefits of vegetables, in the form of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.

The bad….

Well for starters they don’t taste as nice. Most veg juices are an acquired taste but those made from green veg are by far the worst. It is so much like chewing chopped up leafy greens. But knowing it’s for your own good puts things into perspective and besides, the minimalist, Josh Millburn told no lie she he said “food is not entertainment, it is nourishment”.
